Our home base. Phoenix crews cover the whole of Greater Brisbane, from CBD apartments to acreage moves in the hinterland, with the same careful hands on every job.
Brisbane is where Phoenix started and where most of our fleet sleeps. That matters on the day, because a depot in the city means shorter travel time on your bill and a crew that knows which streets in Paddington a 60 cubic metre truck simply cannot enter. We run everything from single item pickups to full acreage moves out past Ipswich.
The two things that catch people out here are the Queenslander and the CBD tower. Queenslanders come with stairs, narrow verandah doors and awkward under-house storage, so we allow for the carry rather than discovering it at 8am. CBD and Newstead apartments come with body corporate rules, lift bookings and loading dock windows, and we handle that paperwork for you.

The Gold Coast is a high-rise market and it rewards crews who do it constantly. Our people are in Surfers, Broadbeach and Southport towers most weeks, which means they already know the service lift dimensions, the dock height and the fact that most buildings will only release a lift for a two or three hour window.
We book that window with the building manager on your behalf, then plan the load so the heavy and awkward pieces go through first. Inland it is a different job again: hinterland properties at Mudgeeraba and Tallai often have steep, narrow driveways where a smaller truck shuttling to a larger one parked on the road is faster than trying to force access.

Townsville is its own market and it does not behave like the southeast. The heat is the first factor: we start early through the build up and summer, and we keep wrapped furniture out of direct sun on the tailgate rather than letting it sit. The second factor is distance. There is a lot of ground between Townsville and anywhere else, so interstate and long haul work is a normal part of what the branch does rather than an exception.
Cyclone season shapes the calendar too. From November through April we get a steady run of storage bookings from people securing possessions before they travel, and from defence families whose posting dates move at short notice. We are used to working to a date that changes.
Our west-coast crew covers the Perth metro from Fremantle to the foothills, and receives every interstate move coming across from the east.
Perth is the receiving end of most of our interstate work, and it is the reason we run container trucks with trailers rather than relying on freight partners. Your load is sealed in Queensland and opened in Western Australia by Phoenix people, which removes the handovers where interstate moves usually come unstuck.
Locally the branch covers the metro from Fremantle to the foothills. Worth knowing: Western Australian quarantine is strict, so anything crossing the border needs to be free of soil, plants and fresh produce. We flag this at quote stage rather than letting you find out at the border, and we will tell you plainly what has to be rehomed before you pack.
No. Every mover on every job in all four cities is a trained Phoenix employee. That is deliberate, because when a company subcontracts, the crew at your door has no relationship with the business you hired and no stake in how your move goes.
